Hygiene
Preventative care is an integral part of our practice. Maintaining good oral hygiene is one of the most important things you can do for your teeth and gums. Healthy teeth not only enable you to look and feel good, they make it possible to eat and speak properly. Good oral health is important to you overall well being. Promoting health through preventative dentistry and educating our patients on good oral hygiene is the heart of our practice. Thorough examinations and professional cleanings allow us to identify problem areas and stop periodontal disease.
Bonding
The application of tooth-colored filling material (composite) to the teeth has been a dental technique for many years. Recent advances have increased the strength, durability and longevity of these restorations. Bonding material can be molded and shaped to achieve outstanding results including tooth lightening, closing spaces between teeth, making teeth appear straighter and repairing chips and cracks. When polished, it gives the appearance of natural tooth structure.
Pediatric Dentistry
Our team is committed to improving and maintaining the oral health of infants, children and adolescents. Thanks to fluoride, dental sealants and better dental habits, 55 percent of school-age children now have no cavities. The dramatic drop in cavities among children with regular dental care is due to regular visits to the dentist starting at an early age, professional teeth cleaning for children, proper tooth brushing habits, fluoride and dental sealants. Our team is happy to provide all aspects of preventative dental care and restorative dentistry for your children. We recommend that you begin bringing your children to the dentist for their first checkup at age 2.5 to 3.
Periodontics
Periodontal treatment starts with prevention: regular cleanings and good hygiene habits are excellent precautions to take to avoid gum disease. The main cause of periodontal disease is bacteria in the form of a sticky, colorless plaque that constantly forms on your teeth; however, other factors can cause the disease or influence its progression. Scaling, root planing and local delivery of antimicrobials can treat and prevent the progression of the disease. In some cases, surgical therapy or cosmetic solutions may be necessary to correct the damage from gum disease physically and cosmetically. Our team can evaluate your situation and present the best treatment options for you.
Teeth Whitening
People with stained or discolored teeth may just need a whitening procedure in order to restore their smile. Teeth Whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten stained, discolored or dull teeth. Even a stubborn single tooth that is noticeably duller or less white than your other teeth can be individually brightened. Teeth bleaching products which contain peroxides, actually change your natural tooth color anywhere from five to seven – but even up to twelve – shades brighter. You too, can have the white smile you have always dreamed about.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a groundbreaking alternative way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of removable aligners that are virtually invisible, so you don't have to worry about your appearance. You can take them out for daily necessities like eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. Comfortable, convenient and complimentary to your smile, Invisalign is the preferred method of teeth alignment for patients.
Metal Free Fillings
If your teeth are filled with dark metal amalgams, your smile is aging your appearance. Your discolored teeth may also cause embarrassment. But metal fillings can also damage teeth. Amalgams expand with heat and contract with cold. This movement weakens the tooth wall, leading to fractures and allowing bacteria to enter and cause decay. They contain mercury that may have long-term health effects. Tooth-colored composite fillings are a safer, stronger, more attractive and more enduring alternative to metal. They conservatively restore your teeth to strength and your smile to beauty.
Porcelain Crowns
Crowns are a type of dental restoration which, when cemented into place, fully cup over the portion of a tooth which lies at and above the gum line. Crowns encase the entire visible aspect of a tooth. A dental crown in effect becomes the tooth's new outer surface.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Full Mouth rehabilitation involves restoring the teeth, bite and muscles back to a natural-looking and youthful-feeling condition, thereby improving self-esteem. Using computerized technology and an artistic eye, full mouth restoration may be the answer to many problems, such as heat-sensitive teeth, sore jaw muscles and recurring headaches.
Dentures
If you have lost all of your natural teeth, dentures can replace your missing teeth and smile. Tooth loss can come form periodontal disease, toothy decay, or injury, but with dentures, you can benefit your appearance, your health and continue to function as a healthy, active adult. Our team can help you make an informed decision about whether dentures are ideal for you.
Bridges
A Bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the missing one are prepared as crowns to serve as abutments to hold the prosthetic (replacement) tooth in place. Crowns and bridges are most commonly prepared from high quality materials such as semi-precious or precious metals, porcelain or a fused combination of the two. Aesthetics, function and tissue compatibility are considered when selecting the material most suitable for you.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is the area in dentistry which specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of malocclusion and jaw dis-harmonies, using corrective appliances such as braces. Orthodontic treatment corrects the alignment of the teeth and jaws and helps to prevent dental health problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, chewing difficulties, and in such cases, jaw joint problems. In addition to the dental health benefits, orthodontic treatment also results in improved self-esteem and a gorgeous smile.
Endodontics
With today's modern dental techniques, having root canals done by a dentist is no longer a scary experience. Our team is experienced in performing root canal therapy. Extensive decay, an accident, tooth fracture or gum disease can kill teeth and cause a root canal symptom such as root canal pain or a dental abscess. However, regardless of the root canal cause, your teeth can be saved using modern therapy to do root canal treatment.
Gum Contouring
Healthy and even gumlines are essential to any beautiful smile. Attractive gums complement and frame your teeth, making your smile look healthier and more attractive. If your gums are red and swollen or if your teeth look too small or too short because of the disproportionate size relationship between your teeth and gums, then gum contouring may be the solution for you. Gum contouring can give you the consistent, even gumline you need for a healthy and attractive smile.
Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays make it possible to replace old, unsightly, silver fillings with beautiful tooth-colored restorations, designed perfectly to match your natural teeth. With inlay or onlay technology we can create porcelain restorations that revive your natural strength, wear, function and appearance. With these new materials, it is possible to bond teeth back together, virtually restoring them to their virgin strength without invasive techniques.
Implants
Implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants are small titanium posts which are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration which occurs when teeth are missing.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are the most conservative esthetic restorations available in dentistry today. A thin layer of the front of the tooth is removed to allow a veneer of porcelain to be bonded to the tooth without making it any thicker. Similar in a way, to a false fingernail, the veneer covers dark or yellow teeth, fills unsightly gaps, lengthens short or stubby teeth, straightens crooked teeth and in general, creates a more attractive smile. Unlike a false fingernail, veneers are more permanent. The veneers are attached to the teeth using the most advanced methods of bonding principles.
